The President of Ajloun National University, Prof. Firas Al-Hanandeh, participated in his capacity as Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation in a meeting with a number of educational institutions affiliated with the Association of Arab Universities, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Association, Amr Ezzat Salama, and a number of university presidents and directors of scientific centers.
During the meeting, the most important stages of the establishment of the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation and its center, Ajloun National University, were reviewed to advance it to the ranks of international scientific centers, as it is considered the innovative research nucleus and reference for specializations in universities.
During the meeting, the attendees listened to a briefing on the center's achievements during the past period and future projects and plans.
It is noteworthy that the center, which was launched under the patronage of the Prime Minister last March, has implemented many qualitative projects in addition to its pioneering role in incubating projects, training, consulting, and supporting innovation and scientific research. The latest of these was participating in the first international conference “Universities and Artificial Intelligence Technology” and participating in the conference exhibition with a special pavilion that contained 11 advanced projects and innovations in artificial intelligence, in addition to incubating a number of innovative projects in artificial intelligence and digital transformation for university students and starting to implement them, implementing a new research project for the center with the Jesuit University in Lebanon, preparing for an international conference entitled “Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education and Community Service” with the University of Damascus, and opening a computer lab affiliated with the center and equipping it with fifty computers with very high specifications, especially for artificial intelligence systems.
